The M Permanent Partner route is for a foreign national in a qualifying de facto union with a Colombian citizen. The formal document establishing the union, its timing, the Colombian partner’s declaration, the special power and migration records all form part of the route-specific evidence review.
Use this route when the relationship basis is a formally documented de facto union with a Colombian citizen. Current rules require the document supporting the union to have been formalized more than one year before the visa application.
